Early careerists are the lifeblood of any vibrant organization. They bring energy, fresh ideas and a "talent management hedge" as workforce demographics begin to change. But many organizations are finding that recruiting and retaining young employees has become a challenge.
A survey by the Saratoga Institute estimated that 22% of new young adult hires quit their job within the first year. Many young adults change jobs frequently. In a recent study by Monster Track and Michigan State’s College Employment Research Institute, 64% of corporate mangers agreed that retaining young adults has become more difficult.
What is your organization doing to create an energized connection with new college graduates and early careerists?
How We Can Help
BPI group, your trusted expert in the area of careers, coaching and transition, has helped hundreds of early careerists over the past few years with career planning and job search advice. Through our work we have developed two unique early career planning workshops that can help your organization maximize the investment that you make with young adults.
“Getting the Most Out of My Internship” Workshop
This is a one day interactive and facilitated career planning workshop which provides career advice that research shows is desired by interns (source: Michigan State Collegiate Employment Research Institute). The workshop creates a more favorable impression of the organization upon the individual intern while it enhances your organization’s reputation on campus.
“Creating Shared Success" Workshop
This one day interactive and facilitated workshop uses our proprietary Q5 framework to build an energized connection and alignment between the needs of the early careerist and the needs of the organization.
