32 BPI Group Career Direction

The 32SM BPI Story

Our firm, BPI group, is a human resources consulting firm that specializes in helping people with career issues. From executive coaching and leadership development to career transition and outplacement, we have worked with thousands of people around the world. Our connection with early careerists wasn’t just an idea–it was a calling. Or, to be more exact, it came from the phone calls. That’s where the story begins.

The calls started five years ago. They came from our clients, friends and those who knew that we helped people with career and job search planning. But these calls were different. They weren’t asking for help for their company or themselves, but on behalf of their sons, daughters, nieces, nephews and other young adults. "My son just graduated from college and he needs help looking for a job."; "My daughter has been working for a couple of years and she doesn’t like her job."; "My nephew just graduated but doesn’t have any idea what he wants to do."

"Can you help?" they asked us.

The calls kept coming and we knew we needed to do something. And we did. We took our unique approach to career planning and job search and we built a workshop to address the specific needs and concerns of early careerists. We got great feedback. We did one-on-one coaching. People kept asking for more. We knew we had something that could make a difference. 32SM was born!

"Why the number 32?" you ask. Good question.

32SM represents the number of points on an old ship’s compass. Just as sailors used the 32 points to navigate the winds, we help guide early careerists in developing their own compass and charting their course for success both during the job search and throughout their careers.

We invite you to explore our website. Participate if you’d like. We have interesting information for everyone—organizations, parents, universities and, of course, early careerists. It’s our goal to build a community which will make a difference for young adults facing those timeless questions: "What do I want to do with my life? How do I find a job? What if I don’t like the job I have now?"

We’re glad that you’ve joined us on this journey. Happy Sailing!
